乳腺癌是一个严重的健康问题，也是生物医学研究中的主要关注点。主要信号传导的改变（即PI3K-AKT-mTOR，Ras-Raf-MEK-Erk，NF-kB，细胞周期蛋白D1，JAK-STAT，Wnt，Notch，Hedgehog信号传导和凋亡途径）促进了主要亚型的发展乳腺癌，例如HER2阳性，TNBC，管腔A和B和正常类乳腺癌。此外，参与细胞生长和发育的不同基因的突变和表达参数在不同类型的癌症的进展中起着重要作用，使基因治疗成为处理威胁生命的疾病（如癌症）的新兴治疗方法。遗传靶标（癌基因和抑癌基因）在肿瘤形成中起主要作用。 Brk / PTK6和mTOR是两个涉及许多与细胞生长，增殖，血管生成，存活，侵袭，转移，凋亡和自噬有关的信号传导调控的中心分子。由于这两种蛋白在乳癌的发生中高度上调，因此可以用作治疗乳腺癌的靶基因。但是，关于它们的工作还很少。这篇综述强调了Brk和mTOR及其相关信号在乳癌发生中的治疗意义，这可能为开发用于乳腺癌管理的基因治疗提供策略。
