Abstract
Recent research interest has focused on the role of vaccination in preventing type 1 diabetes in high-risk patients. High-risk subjects are identified on the basis of genetic and antibody markers. While no single intervention strategy has been demonstrated to have universal efficacy, this review focuses on the developments and recent patents in this field.
