Abstract: Plant-derived bioactive polysaccharides have a long history of application in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The polysaccharides of Fructus Corni, secondary metabolites from Cornus officinalis Sieb. Et Zucc, possess various pharmacological activities, including immune regulation, anti-oxidation, anti-tumor, and anti-aging effects. The present review is trying to summarize the extraction process of polysaccharides of Fructus Corni, structural features and related patents.
