Abstract
A facile synthesis of some spirobiindane based bis-flavanones and bis-chroman-4-ones was achieved by employing Kabbe reaction on spirobiindane bis-acetophenone as the key step.
Keywords: spirobiindane bis-phenol, Kabbe reaction, flavanone, chroman-4-one.
