Abstract

Physics is the scientific study of matter and energy. It ranges from subatomic particles to stars and entire galaxies. In experimental science, physics employs the scientific method to formulate and tests the facts based on observation of the natural world. A scientific principles, laws, theories and theorems describe the behaviour of how something occurs, why something works and the related method of mathematical reasoning. These are based upon observations and repeated experimentations. They can be disproved, modified or accommodate new discoveries and also they make predictions for future experiments and observations. This chapter presents the lists of important laws, theories and theorems of physics which describe, predict, and explain why, a range of phenomena behave as they appear to be in nature. This chapter also provides the basis upon which all of physics is based.
