Abstract
This report presents the results from the NMR-based metabonomics of urine collected as part of a multiple dose, double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled parallel group exploratory study of the pharmacodynamics of ciprofibrate in healthy volunteers and patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Using supervised statistical analysis it was possible to distinguish the various treatment groups (healthy and diabetic: placebo-treated or drug-treated) when males and females were analyzed separately.
