Abstract
The aim of this review is the coverage of recent literature (2007-2009) on bioactive compounds containing benzoxadiazole, benzothiadiazole and benzotriazole nucleus, as central core as well as substituent in the context of SAR studies. Reviews sections are organized on the basis of heterocycle contained in drug structure and subdivided for represented main activities (Antitumorals, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal agents, analgesics, etc.).
Keywords: Heterocycles, benzoxadiazole, benzofuroxan, benzothiadiazole, benzotriazole, biologically active compounds, Antitumorals, GSTs, NBDHEX, MRP1, Cisplatin, Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, fluorescence analysis, TRAF6 ligase assay, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, GOLD, FLEXX, whole-cell assay, Mycobacterium smegmatis, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, Helicobacter pylori, Trypanosoma cruzi, ESR spectroscopy, Tulahuen 2, CL Brener, Y strains, Colombiana, protein farnesyltransferase, P. falciparum, Aldose reductase (ALR2), in situ cross-docking (ISCD), AutoDock4 (AD4), CCK-2R, 1H-NMR, X-ray crystallographic analyses, HIV-1 reverse transcriptase, tetrahydroquinolines, protein farnesyltransferase (PFT), FAAH, Kasumi1, EOL-1, CTV1, chronic myeloid leukemia, PG cell line, ENPP2, MBOBT, Gibberalla zeae, Fusarium oxysporum, Cercospora rachidicola, Physalospora piricola, Alternaria solani, Microsporum canis, Trichophyton mentagrophyte, Trichophyton rubrum, Epidermophyton floccosum, Candida albicans, glucagon-like peptide-1, DPPIV-inhibitory activity
