Abstract

Pathology is a deep-rooted science; based on macroscopic and microscopic examination of diseased organs and tissues. Research advancement introduced newer investigative techniques and modalities, aiming at refining and improving diagnostic accuracy. Special stains, immunohistochemistry, and recently molecular studies are all being employed in the daily practice of anatomical pathology. This article emphasizes the clinical relevance of molecular studies in the field of pathology.
