Prof. Christian N. Madu is the NNPC/Shell Professor of environmental management and control, and Director of the Center for Environmental Management and Control, at the University of Nigeria, Enugu, Nigeria. He is also Professor of Management Science at Pace University, New York City, New York, USA. Prof. Madu is a leading scholar and expert in the areas of chemical safety and security management, sustainability management, disaster risk reduction, process change and quality control. He has published widely in these areas (Publications: over 110; Citations: over 3,010), and has conducted several international training workshops. Moreover, he serves as a consultant to many leading international organizations.
Dr. Mohammad Abu Zahra received his of Ph. D from Delft University of Technology. He is a CO2 capture and utilization (CCUS) recognized expert. His current research focuses on the development of CO2 capture and utilization technologies including the development of advanced solvents, solid sorbents and novel processes. His work has been published in six book chapters, and more than 100 refereed journal publications, conference proceedings and keynote presentations. He graduated 20 M.Sc students and he was awarded the Masdar institute best research award for the academic year 2014-2015.

Currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Cairo University since June 1988. Over 46 years of experience in design and simulation of combustion chambers for terrestrial and aerospace applications. Published 13 books in English and over 9000 papers in journals and conference proceedings on combustion, energy and indoor air quality control. Developed and delivered advanced courses in heat transfer, gas turbine combustion and terrestrial energy
Afroz Alam is a botanist with expertise in the Biodiversity, Plant Systematics (Bryology) and Environmental Science. His expertise also includes the assessment of environmental pollutants and their remediation. Dr Alam obtained his PhD in Botany (2006) from the Department of Botany, University of Lucknow, India. He worked here from 2000 to 2010, first as a Junior Research Fellow, and later as Senior Research Fellow. In 2010 he became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioscience & Biotechnology, Banasthali Vidyapith (Rajasthan) India, and since 2012 has been working at the same institute as Associate Professor. Dr. Alam has published many SCI papers and 10 books.
Dr. Bhupinder Dhir is a researcher with years of experience in Plant sciences, Environmental Biology and Toxicology. He did Doctorate (Ph.D. Botany) from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. His Post graduation (M.Sc Environmental Botany) was from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. His Graduation (B.Sc General) was from University of Delhi, Delhi.
Brindusa Mihaela Sluser is Assoc. Professor at Technical University of Iasi, Romania, in the field of environmental impact and risk assessment. She has developed a new integrated method internationally recognized to assess negative effects induced on environmental quality. Mrs. Sluser has published 12 books and 72 scientific papers. Her scientific results were cited by 433 times on Scopus, Hirsch index being H = 13. She has benefit of great international experience at prestigious universities from Europe and USA. She is an environmental expert Ministry recognized, president of Romanian NGO, member of Romanian Society of Environmental Science and Engineering.
Dr. Pallav Purohit is a research scientist in the Air Quality and Greenhouse Gases Program of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. He has developed and implemented the global F-gas module in the Greenhouse Gas and Air Pollution Interactions and Synergies model of IIASA. Dr. Purohit was also a visiting faculty member to the Institute of Political Science at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and visiting fellow at the School of International Development, University of East Anglia, UK. Dr. Purohit received his MSc in Physics from the H.N.B. Garhwal University, India.
Prof. Jie Ma is a Professor in College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University. He received an M.S. degree from HeFei University of Technology in 2005, a Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2009. He is a research scholar at The University of Akron in 2015-2016. His current research mainly focuses on Environmental Materials (Adsorbents), Environmental Device (Capacitive Deionization), and New Energy (Solar Cell, Microbial Fuel Cell).
Saif Ali Chaudhry is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (a central university), Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, India. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Chemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India and received Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2014. He teaches Inorganic chemistry to under graduate and Post graduate students and his research area includes application of nanotechnology in water treatment. At present six Ph.D. and more M.Sc. students are carrying out research under his supervision and he has published numbers of research papers in highly reputed international journals and several book chapters in Elsevier, Springer, Bentham Science Publishers, Wiley, and CRC publications.
Flavio Boccia is Professor of Economics at 'Parthenope' University of Naples and Lecturer in Agri-Food Business Internationalization and Sustainability. His main research interests concern: genetically modified organisms, corporate social responsibility, marketing strategies, internationalization. He is an editorial board member of 'Journal of Business and Economics' and ‘Journal of Industrial Biotechnology’. Moreover, he was speaker in several conferences and the Guest Editor for the Special Issue of the international journal 'Nutrition and Food Science' on 'Consumer Perspectives of GMO'. With other authors, he won some international awards. At present he is also: a scientific member of permanent international conference ‘Competitiveness of agro-food and environmental economy’; a member and referent of Ph.D. in ‘Economics, Statistics an Sustainability’ in ‘Parthenope’ University of Naples.

Dr. P.K.Parhi is an Asst. Professor of SCT & SBT, KIIT Deemed to be University, India. He has received his Ph.D degree from CSIR-IMMT, India and carried out Post doctoral studies at KIGAM, (South Korea) during 2009-2012. He has over 12 years of experience on development of technology for extraction/separation of metals/dyes by integrated hydro processing approaches (leaching, Liquid –liquid extraction, Adsorption & SLM). Dr. Amimul Ahsan is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering and a researcher in the Institute of Advanced Technology, University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Ahsan received a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Fukui, Japan and he has more than 12 years of research, teaching and industrial experiences. He is involved with a number of collaborative research projects in different countries. He specializes in different aspects of Water & Environmental Engineering. He has published extensively in relevant field including 7 books, 9 book chapters and over 90 journal articles. Sultan Selangor (Chancellor, UPM) has conferred him “Vice Chancellor Fellowship Award” (Science and Technology) in 2015. He is serving in the editorial board of a number of refereed journals as an Editor-in-Chief , Editor/Associate Editor & Editorial Board Member. His h-index in Google is 18 and in Scopus is 14.
Ahmed Al-Salaymeh is a Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department, School of Engineering, University of Jordan, Amman-Jordan. Currently, a Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department. Director and founder of the Renewable Energy Master Program at the University of Jordan. Also, the director and founder of Environmental Technology and Climate Change Master Program at the University of Jordan. He received Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Fluid Mechanics, Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nurnberg, Erlangen-Germany in April 2001, M.Sc and B.Sc degrees with honor from Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Jordan. He is having special interest in Fluid Mechanics, MEMS, Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energy. He has a good research in the area of Thermal Flow Sensors (Patent registered in Germany). He published many papers in the international journals and actively participates in many scientific conferences. He is also the editorial board member for a number of international journals. He organized and participated in many workshops, seminars and conferences. Also, he is the chairman of the organizing committee for the GCREEDER conferences.
Dr. Chandrasekaran is presently the Director and Sr. Professor of the Center for Nano-biotechnology, VIT University, Vellore, India. He obtained his Ph. D degree in Science from Madurai Kamaraj University. He got young scientist award from International Association for Forensic Science. He has published 180 peer-reviewed papers. He has authored 22 books. He is also a Fellow Royal Society of Biology, Fellow Royal Entomological society, Fellow Royal Society of Chemistry. His current interests are in the areas of colloidal chemistry/nano-emulsion as a delivery system, nano-emulsion food preservation, nano-emulsion aquaculture, and nano-emulsion food packaging/and nano-toxicology.
Yinguang Chen received his Ph.D. degree Jiangnan University in 1999. Then, he worked as a Postdoc in Tongji University, University of Central Florida, and Virginia Tech from 1999 till 2003 before joining the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. In 2003 he received the professor position. His research interests focus on the environmental microbial technology. Currently, he is the editorial board member of several Chinese and English Journals.
Dr. Deng is a professor in Environmental School, Tsinghua University, and he has nearly 20 years of experience in environmental research. He mainly focuses on novel adsorbent preparation for pollutant removal from water or wastewater, emerging contaminant control technology, and CO2 adsorption. He published more than 140 peer-reviewed papers and applied for 24 patents. He ever served as the Management Member in Adsorption Groups in International Water Association. Currently, he is the editor of Frontier of Environmental Science and Engineering, Editorial Board of Global Journal of Environmental Science, Advances in Environmental Chemistry, ISRN Environmental Chemistry and Technology and The Scientific World Journal.
Dr. Dionysios (Dion) Dionysiou is currently a Professor of Environmental Engineering and Science at the University of Cincinnati. He teaches courses and performs research in the areas of drinking water quality and treatment, advanced oxidation technologies and nanotechnologies, and physical-chemical processes for water quality control. Dr. Dionysiou is the author or co-author of >400 refereed journal publications, conference proceedings, book chapter publications, and editorials. He has edited/co-edited 5 books on water quality, water reuse, and photocatalysis. He is currently co-editing a book on harmful algal blooms.
Dr. Gao is professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of Harbin Institute of Technology, China. His major research interests include biological wastewater treatment, membrane technology, fate and transport of pollutants in environment, environmental biotechnology, microbial ecology. Dr. Gao is an investigator of more than 20 research projects. He has published over 100 papers in high-quality international journals and 16 national innovation patents. He is an associate editor of Water Science and Technology, and editorial board member for five international journals.
Dr. Jeon completed his Ph.D in 2000 from Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea. He is currently working as a professor in Chung-Ang University. His research interest include Molecular microbial ecology at environments, Meta-omics (metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, and metabolomics), Biodegradation (bioremediation) and biotransformation (biocatalysis), Microbial physiology and genomics, Analysis of microbial population dynamics at mixed culture systems. He is member of American Society for Microbiology, International Symposium for Microbial Ecology, Korean Institute of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, The Microbiological Society of Korea, The Korean Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology. He has published over 300 articles and has an H-index of 45.
Dr. Kapoor has obtained his Ph.D degree from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University in 2010. His research areas include Environment Engineering & Biotechnology, Studies about various kind of pollutants, Water characteristics and remedial measures. He has acted as Referee of 73 and Editorial Board Member of 24 International Journals. He has published 15 research and 2 review articles. He has attended several workshops and national and international conferences.
Dr. Ashok Kumar is a professor and chairman of Civil Engineering at The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Kumar received his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, Canada. Before coming to Toledo he worked for Syncrude Canada Ltd. as an atmospheric physicist. He has guided and mentored over 100 graduate students in their pursuits of advanced engineering knowledge. He is an honorary member of the Air and Waste Management Association.
Dr. Min Woo Lee is a professor of Department of Chemical Engineering, Keimyung University, South Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree at Pohang University of Science and Technology (South Korea) and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge (UK). Dr. Lee has nearly 20 years of experience in the research areas of biological/physicochemical wastewater treatment and bioenergy production. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters.His current research interest isbioenergy production from high-strength organic waste/wastewater, especially focusing on its process optimization and control by adopting various mathematical and statistical approaches.
Dr. Luhar received his Ph.D from University of Cambridge and currently working as a Principal Research Scientist in Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization. His research expertise includes modelling air pollution transport, inverse modelling techniques to determine air pollution sources, atmospheric boundary layer processes in mesoscale and global chemistry-climate models, smoke from biomass burning, modelling traffic air pollution and noise. He has authored 54 refereed journal articles and edited one book. His Lifetime citation is 2113 with H-index of 25. He is a member of Clean Air Society, Air and Waste Management Association, American Meteorological Society and American Geophysical Union.
Dr. Bernaurdshaw obtained his Ph.D. degree from Anna University. He has been working on the preparation of TiO2 based photocatalysts for energy and environmental remediation studies, advanced oxidation methods, Polymer solar cells and Direct methanol oxidation fuel cell using metallic catalysts prepared by ultrasound assisted method. He is a potential reviewer for more than 40 reputed international journals and author of nearly 100 publications that have received around 5000 citations with H-Index of 30. He had been awarded prestigious fellowship with Japan Society of Promotion of Science (JSPS) and by KOSEF Brain Pool program to work as a Research Professor.
Dr. Thekla Tsitsoni is Professor at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the School of Forestry and Natural Environment. Dr Aiqin Wang is the Director of R&D Center of Eco-material and Eco-Chemistry of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS. He has been a full Professor since 2000. His research focuses on synthesis, characterisation and adsorption processes of functional adsorbent materials, oil sorption resins, natural and clay mineral adsorbent materials. He has published over 480 journal papers, 3 book, 6 book chapters and granted 36 patents. He has received numerous honors and awards for his research.
Dr. Zhiwei WANG is a full professor of School of Environmental Science & Engineering, Tongji University, and Chang Jiang Youth Scholar of Ministry of Education, China. He received a B.S. degree in municipal Engineering from Tongji University and a Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering under a successive postgraduate and doctoral program of Tongji University. His major interests are membrane technologies for wastewater treatment and reclamation. He has authored/co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed papers in SCI-indexed journals with more than 1900 citations (ResearcherID: http://www.researcherid.com/rid/F-5666-2012). Currently, he is a member of Management Committee of International Water Association (IWA) Specialist Group on Membrane Technology.
Patryk is as an Assistant Professor at Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. His primary areas of interest are environmental fluid dynamics, hydroinformatics, urban water systems - water distribution, urban drainage, sewerage systems design and modelling. Within the modelling domain, he specialises in integrated modelling and numerical model calibration and validation. He has more than ten years of experience in applied projects aimed at modelling urban water systems — water supply, stormwater and sewer systems. He has been working on specific aspects of automated model recalibration, integrated hydraulic models, near real-time modelling, leakage detection and smart decision support systems for water utilities.
Tongwen Xu is a Full Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China. He received PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in 1995. Tongwen was a postdoctoral research fellow at Nankai University during 1995-1997. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed publications, 19 invited book chapters, 50 issued Chinese patents. He acts as editor in chief of 3 international books and editorial board members for 9 international journals. He received the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2010 and selected as FRSC in 2013. His current researches are focused on the synthesis and applications of functional polymers and membranes.
Prof. Dr. Yassin obtained his Ph. D in Environmental Engineering from University of Tokyo, Japan. He is a Research Scientist at the Environmental Pollution and Climate Program, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait. Before joining KISR, he worked in the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, Egypt, and the Wind Engineering Research Center (WERC), Tokyo Polytechnic University, Japan, and Naces Center for Mathematical Modeling, Faculty of Nuclear Science of the Czech Technical University, Czech and College for Life science, Kuwait University, Kuwait. His research interests are in the following areas: outdoor air quality modeling and assessment, numerical simulation (CFD models), physical simulation (Wind tunnel modeling) and wind engineering. He has supervised a lot of master and Ph. D students. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals, books, and conferences.
Dr. Yun is Professor of Chemical Engineering and Director of Environmental Biotechnology National Research Laboratory, Chonbuk National University, South Korea. He completed his Ph.D. at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in Biochemical Engineering. He has nearly 20 years of experience in environmental biotechnology and biomaterials research. His research interests include biosorbents and biosorption process, fate and degradation of emerging contaminants, and bio-inspired nanomaterials synthesis. He has authored more than 150 papers and his h-index is 48 on the basis of Google Scholar. He has invented 20 patents and some of them have been transferred to private companies.
Prof. Dr. Zaneta Stasiskiene. Director of the Institute of Environmental Engineering Kaunas University of Technology (KUT). Her experience under UNEP DTIE was transferred to Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Tanzania, Russia and covers areas of Sustainability assessment, sustainable innovation and development of environmental project financing schemes, infrastructure activity plans for Central and Eastern Europe, South-East Africa, Asia Countries. She is the leader of the Research Group on Sustainable Cities at KUT, Senior Researcher and Developer of tools and methodologies for Industrial Sustainability Assessment, Environmental Risk Management and Environmental Performance improvement in industry, Development and Implementation of Sustainable Business models. Also Zaneta is the Leader of scientific group “Smart and sustainable cities” at Kaunas University of Technology (since 2015).
Jingdong Zhang is a professor at School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He received his PhD degree from Hunan University, P.R. China in 2000, and carried out postdoctoral studies at Chonbuk National University (South Korea), Kwansei Gakuin University (Japan), Kyoto University (Japan) and Jackson State University (USA) during 2001-2006. His research spans analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry. He is interested in electroanalysis, environmental electrochemistry, pollutant determination and removal, and photoelectrochemical materials. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals.
