Abstract

Quinoline is one of the significant moieties in the construction of new pharmaceuticals since it is a notable scaffold among heterocyclic compounds. The derivatives of quinoline which are biologically active compounds, are acknowledged as prominent scaffolds in drug discovery. Quinoline-based heterocycle scaffolds have recently become very important in medicinal chemistry because of their important pharmacological and biological properties. These substances' importance in the finding and formation of pioneering medicines for the treatment of various diseases is an example of their value. Using literature that has been published in the last five years, the current study describes the synthesis of different quinoline-based heterocycle scaffolds and their advantageous medicinal uses, especially as anti-inflammatory agents.
