摘要
外周动脉疾病(PAD)是一个非常普遍的疾病,对于它的治疗手段至今还不能满足实际需求。针对PAD的治疗性血管新生,在临床前研究和临床试验早期阶段取得了可喜的成果,但是几乎没有后期临床试验开展或者后期临床试验没有显示出效果。本文对血管生成基因治疗领域的研究及其在外周动脉疾病治疗应用的进展进行了综述。血管生成生长因子和临床试验的焦点作为一个治疗性血管生成的前沿被介绍了,并展望了未来的发展方向将从临床前研究深入到临床研究。

摘要: Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a highly prevalent disease, which still has unmet medical needs. Therapeutic angiogenesis for PAD, achieved by gene therapy, has achieved promising results in preclinical studies and early-phase clinical trials, yet few late-phase clinical trials have been conducted or have not shown efficacy. This article provides an overview of the progression of angiogenesis research in gene therapy field as it applies to PAD. The focus of angiogenic growth factors and clinical trials is introduced as a frontier of therapeutic angiogenesis. The article also includes insights into future directions from bench to bedside.
