Abstract
The reaction time needed to perform the epoxidation of several α, β-unsaturated ketones with ureahydrogen peroxide were substantially reduced by means of microwave irradiation. This environmental friendly protocol showed to be very useful, especially to effect the epoxidation of sterically hindered substrates.
