酚类化合物(PC)有许多健康益处,如抗氧化、抗癌、神经保护和抗炎活性。所有这些活动都取决于它们的化学结构以及它们与体内生物目标的相互作用。PC以聚合的形式自然发生,与糖苷相连,需要从摄取到吸收的代谢转化。肠道微生物群可以将PC转化为更容易被吸收的代谢物。反过来,PC对微生物群具有益生元和抗菌作用。尽管如此,它们的低口服生物利用度仍然会影响生物性能。因此,使用纳米载体已被证明是一种有用的策略,以改善PC吸收,从而,其健康影响。纳米技术是一种很好的替代方法,能够克服PC口服生物利用度的限制,因为它可以保护其在通过胃肠道时防止降解。此外,纳米技术还能够促进受控PC的释放和调节PC与微生物群之间的相互作用。然而,关于纳米技术对PC对肠道微生物群的影响,我们知之甚少。本文综述了纳米技术在肠道微生物群中的应用,重点介绍了这些制剂通过应用纳米载体(聚合物纳米颗粒、纳米结构脂质载体、固体脂质纳米颗粒)来提高口服生物利用度的能力。此外,还描述了游离和纳米化PC或纳米载体本身对肠道微生物群的影响。
