弓形虫病治疗应用的靶向策略:脂质体疫苗输送系统的最新进展

摘要

弓形虫是一种普遍的寄生性病原体,已感染了全球三分之一以上的人口。弓形虫病是通过分离寄生虫并检测宿主抗体来诊断的。相反,诊断的主要问题涉及测试的敏感性和特异性。目前,尽管有乙胺嘧啶和磺胺嘧啶对人体的副作用和毒性,但仍建议使用乙胺嘧啶和磺胺嘧啶进行治疗。而且,缺乏能完全预防这种感染的疫苗是有效治疗和预防弓形虫病的主要障碍。最近,已经研究了纳米颗粒和纳米材料作为用于弓形虫感染的免疫和治疗的递送系统。脂质体最重要的应用之一是药物和疫苗的递送,因为它们具有生物降解性,低固有毒性和免疫原性。脂质体是灵活的递送系统和免疫佐剂,不仅可以加载多种抗原,例如蛋白质,肽,核酸和碳水化合物,而且还可以将它们与免疫刺激剂结合。脂质体在现代疫苗的开发中具有令人难以置信的潜力,近年来,人们进行了许多努力来提高疫苗的有效性。在这篇综述中,我们集中于基于脂质体的疫苗递送系统的预防,控制和治疗弓形虫病的可行靶向策略。
