Abstract
The synthesis of substituted norbornadienes has drawn a significant amount of interest as they possess a great deal of synthetic utility. Although substituted norbornadienes have typically been synthesized through Diels-Alder [4+2] cycloaddition methods, several other methods have been developed to synthesize various substituted norbornadienes. The purpose of this review is to discuss the many methods that have been developed to achieve substituted norbornadienes.
