Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 1,3-oxathiolan-2-yliden derivatives is described via a simple reactions between CHacids, CS2 and oxiranes in the presence of triethylamine at 70oC in water as the solvent. The mild reaction conditions and high yields of the products exhibit the good synthetic advantage of this method.
