Abstract
Tetrahydrobenzo[a]xanthen-11-ones have been synthesized using 50% nano-TiCl4/SiO2 as a reusable, inexpensive, and efficient Lewis acid catalyst. Short reaction times, high yields, scale up, and easy work-up are the advantages of this protocol.
