Abstract
The present review focuses on the latest development in the synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines with special accent placed on ring closing methodologies and analysis of diversity of synthons. It also overviews the current green chemistry and multi-component reaction approaches. The major methods and modifications are analyzed.
