Abstract
Yeast tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase (yTyrRS) has been crystallized by the vapor diffusion method in the presence of its cognate tRNATyr. The crystals belong to a tetragonal space group P41212 with cell dimensions of a = b = 63.85 Å, and c = 330.3 Å. The asymmetric unit contains one molecule each of yTyrRS and tRNATyr (one-half of a 2:2 complex). Xray diffraction data have been collected up to 2.5 Å resolution.
