Publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini- reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to Tourism.
The section named Tourism of the journal Current Social Sciences publishes original research articles, letters, reviews/mini-reviews and guest-edited thematic issues on various topics related to tourism.
This section is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is devoted to a wide range of sub-fields. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Basic theoretical developments, applications, case studies, novel approaches and processes, and empirical research are among the topics covered in the papers.
This section is concerned with the planning and management of hospitality and tourism, including tourist experiences and the consequences of those experiences for space/architecture/urban design, communities, economies, environments, leisure and recreation studies and the emerging field of event management. It contains both theoretical and applied research papers and encourages the submission of the results of collaborative research undertaken between academia and industry.

Dr. Gangwei Cai is a Researcher in the College of CivilEngineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University (China) / Faculty ofEnvironmental Engineering, University of Kitakyushu (Japan). He is an Architectureand a Senior engineer. He is the Director of Asian Urban Environment Societyand Asian Low Carbon Design Society (Japan) Kyushu Housing andEnvironmental Planning Research Institute, Head of China Region, Besides, he isHead of Academician Gao Weijun Workstation of Zhejiang University. He is also amember of Architectural Society of China and full member of the ArchitecturalSociety of Japan. He has been serving as Reviewer of SCI/SSCI journals (InternationalJournal of Hospitality Management-IF 10.427 / /Sustainable Cities andSociety-IF10.696/ Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management-IF 9.821/Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management-IF7.629 / International Journalof Contemporary Hospitality Management-IF 9.321 / International Journal ofConsumer Studies 7.096/). He studied and worked in Tongji University, ZhejiangUniversity, Zhejiang Architectural Design and Research Institute (China) andAcademician Gao Weijun's Research Office of Kitakyu University (Japan).
Dr. Roberto Micera, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Management (Italian RTD-B) at University of Basilicata, where he teaches Business Strategy and Territorial Marketing. He has been Senior Researcher at the Institute for Studies on the Mediterranean (ISMED) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), where he conducted research on tourism innovation, tourism experience and destination management. In recent years, he has been involved in many research projects on management of tourism destinations and tourism firms and he is author of papers about marketing and ICT in tourism firms, governance of tourism local systems, destination image management, destination competitiveness and smart tourism destination.
Dr. Lluís Coromina is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Tourism, University of Girona, Spain. He is Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Tourism. His research is related to tourism behaviour, cross-cultural comparison, quantitative research methodology and data analytics in social sciences. He also publishes in the fields, such as sociology or political science. Dr. Coromina is the author of over 50 publications. He is a referee and a reviewer for several international journals.
Prof. Anna Dziadkiewicz is an Academic lecturer at the Faculty of Management, University of Gdansk and owner of a consulting company. She is a certified business trainer. She has specialized in service design, experience marketing and design management. She is an expert in wellbeing tourism and the circular economy. Prof. Dziadkiewicz is the co-author of strategies for cities ("Gdansk - World Amber Capital") and for medical entities. She lectures at domestic and foreign universities, including Slovakia, Lithuania, Turkey, Portugal, France, and Italy. Prof. Dziadkiewicz graduated from the London School of Public Relations. She collaborated with researchers at Linnaeus University in Sweden on international projects. She is the author of a book on Design Management, President of the Polish Branch of the Hong Kong-based Institute of Technology and Engineering and a co-founder of the Wellbeing International Association, Sweden. In 2022, she received the rank of DsC.
