Biofuel
Publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to biofuel.
Current Indian Science: Biofuel publishes original research articles, letters, case reports, reviews/mini-reviews and guest edited thematic issues on various topics related to photocatalytic reaction. This is not limited to a specific aspect of the field but is instead devoted to a wide range of sub fields in the area. Articles of multi-disciplinary nature are particularly welcome. Submissions in the following areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal.
Dr. S.Karthikeyan is presently working as Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Syed Ammal Engineering College, Ramanathapuram, Tamilnadu, India. He has 21 years of teaching experience and 5 years of industrial experience. He has produced four Ph.D. scholars and presently guiding 5 Ph.D. scholars. He has published 63 (SCI) and 26 (Scopus) research papers in international and national journals. His specialized area is Thermal engineering, Biofuel, Engine, and solar technology.
Dr. Lakshmanan Rajendran is a Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Academy of Maritime Education and Training (Deemed to be University), Chennai, India. He has 30 years of expertise in mathematical and computational modelling. He has published 150 papers in international / SCI and over 140 articles in national journals. He executed many research projects from different funding agencies including DST, CSIR, UGC in India. He visited Germany and Poland under INSA fellowships. More than 35 students completed their PhD degrees under his guidance. At present, eight students are doing research under his guidance without fellowship. He has scientific lineage and collaboration from several eminent scientists and professors at the national and international levels.
Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, GLA University, Mathura (UP), India. He graduated from the Institution of Engineers (India) in 2002 and did Masters in Engineering from Delhi University (Delhi College of Engineering) in 2008. Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan did his Ph.D. from Kongju National University, South Korea in 2011 and Post Doc from Pusan National University, South Korea. Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan published more than 75 papers in SCI, Scopus and other Indexed Journals and International Conferences, till date. He is a reviewer of more than 15 SCI Journals for more than 80 papers. He guided 4 Ph.D., 7 National and International Scholarships, with a teaching and research experience of more than 18 years. Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan is a member of 5 different International Societies. He received more than 150 awards from various National and International Organizations. He has delivered many invited talks and lectures in different reputed organizations. His Google Citations are over 1825, h-index is 13 (till April 2022), Scopus Citation is over 1313, h-index is 11, Current total SCI-Impact Factor is 97.741. He has to his credit 4 Indian patents, 7 books published by International publishers, and has edited 8 books.
Dr. Shailendra Kumar Arya is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, India. He did Ph.D in Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi. His research areas included Enzyme engineering, Waste water engineering, and Bioreactor modeling. Since 2006, he has been associated as a teacher in the dept. of biotechnology, UIET, Panjab University Chandigarh. He has 18 publications to his credit.
Dr. Sankar Chakma is presently working as Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. His research interest includes mechanistic investigation of sono-hybrid physical, chemical and biological processes for sustainable energy and environmental applications including production of renewable and alternative energy. He has received many awards, such as Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award-2017, Young Associate Fellowship-2017, IEI Young Engineers Award-2018, ISEES Young Scientist Award-2020 etc. for outstanding contributions in the field of engineering research and excellence in engineering technology development.
A. M. Vinu Mohan is currently working as an INSPIRE Faculty (DST) at the Electrodics &Electrocatalysis Division, CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India in 2014. He completed postdoctoral research from Dr. Joseph Wang’s research group at the University of California, San Diego, USA. Currently, he is focused on the development of flexible and stretchable energy storage devices, wearable biofuel cells for energy harvesting, multiplexed electrochemical transducers for healthcare monitoring and microfluidics based biosensing systems.
Dr. Y.V.D. Nageswar is the Former Chief Scientist (CSIR-IICT) and Dean (NIPER-Hyderabad). After Obtaining M.Sc., PhD, he joined Regional Research Laboratory, Hyderabad in 1980. He worked in synthetic organic chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and nanocatalysis. He has published nearly 120 papers in national and international journals and 20 books and book chapters and reviews. He was associated as an expert in a number of academic institutes and government bodies.
Dr. Umer Rashid has been working as a Fellow Researcher and Associate Professor at the Institute of Advanced Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia since 2011. He did Post Doctorate in Green Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, and PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan. His research is focused on the development of metal and bio-based heterogeneous nano-catalysts from waste biomass and renewable fuels from non-conventional oils to enhance agricultural utilization, using conventional and microwave technologies, while simultaneously replacing existing conventional catalysts and fuels based on petroleum.
Dr. Giovani Leone Zabot is a professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) – Brazil since 2015. He became a permanent professor in the Post-Graduate Program of Agricultural Engineering (UFSM) in 2016. He received a bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering in 2011 and his DSc. in Food Engineering from the Current Indian Science University of Campinas – UNICAMP/Brazil in 2015. His main subjects of research are Chemical Processes, Food Process Engineering, Supercritical Technology, Extraction, Hydrolysis of Lignocellulosic Biomass, and Biofuels.
Dr. Meivelu Moovendhan did his postdoctoral research from the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras and completed his M.Sc., and M.Phil degrees in Marine Biotechnology from MS University and PhD from Annamalai University. His area of research is Marine derived Natural Products Research and Biopolymers Chemistry. He has published 29 research papers with cumulative impact factor of 131.724 in the international peer reviewed journals.
Gaurav Dwivedi has completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IKGPTU Jalandhar, M.Tech in Energy Systems from IIT Roorkee and PhD in the field of Renewable Energy (Biofuel) from IIT Roorkee, India. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Energy Centre at MANIT, Bhopal India. His area of interest is Biodiesel Production methodology, enhancement in fuel properties and application of biofuel on engine operation. He has published more than 100 papers in various international journals and conferences. He got more than 50 papers in SCI and Scopus Indexed Journal. He has published one book with International Publisher along with that he has contributed five book chapters. He got the Young Scientist award at NIT Trichy for his contribution in the field of Renewable energy. He also served as Guest Editor for Material Today proceedings and Journal of Traffic and Transportation. Recently, he also featured in “Top 2% scientist of the world from India (all fields)” by a survey conducted by Stanford University.
Dr. Abhiroop Chowdhury completed his PhD from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad. His research areas are Environmental Geochemistry, Mangrove restoration, Soil pollution and Ecological Risk Assessment. During 2016 and 2021, he has published around 20 articles in Web of Science/ Scopus indexed journals. His h index is 12, i 10 is index- 12, and citations are 427. Dr. Abhiroop also has vast field experiences as an environmental researcher at Kutch biosphere reserve, Buxa Tiger Reserve, Jharia coal fields, Sukinda chromite mines and Subarnarekha- Damodar watershed. He is also actively involved in promoting multi-disciplinary environmental education in India. He regularly writes on environmental issues at popular news dailies- The Statesman and Deccan Herald, with over 30 published opinion pieces till July 2021.
