He has done cutting-edge research on the synergy among plant-borne compounds with microbial insecticides and arthropod predators for the successful control of insect pests of medical and agricultural importance. (Min. of Commerce), Govt. of India. He has won many awards for his scientific achievements Recently, he has been awarded “Top Scientist” in the field of Mycology & Parasitology by Stanford University Scientist, 2020.

Dr. Ghulam Md Ashraf is working as Associate Professor in King Fahd Medical Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. He has a PhD degree in Biochemistry with over eleven years of teaching and research experience in various disciplines of biological and medical sciences. Dr. Ashraf has taught various subjects like Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, Immunology, Medical Lab Technology, Molecular Biology, Neurology, and Recombinant DNA Technology at graduate and post-graduate levels. His primary fields of research are biochemistry and neurology, currently focusing on understanding the molecular and behavioral mechanism of effects of anti-diabetic drugs in psychotic and dementia conditions. Dr. Ashraf’s lab is currently investigating the effect of anti-diabetic drugs in dementia, and their role in possible attenuation/reversal of antipsychotic drugs induced weight gain in psychotic conditions. He is also investigating molecular and behavioral mechanisms of novel therapeutic combinations in multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Ashraf has published 296 research articles (citations: 6324, H-index: 41, i10 index: 155) and has been involved in 23 research grants [16 ongoing (13 PI, 3 CoI) and 7 completed (4 PI, 3 CoI)]. Dr. Ashraf is also involved in editorial roles in renowned scientific journals like Journal of Advanced Research (Associate Editor), Scientific Reports (Senior EBM), PLoS One (Academic Editor) and Current Neuropharmacology (Section Editor). Dr. Ashraf has 266 Publons verified editor records, and 496 Publons verified reviewer records. He is professionally associated with the Royal Society of Medicine (Fellow), Royal Society of Biology (Member), American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Member) and Canadian Association of Neuroscience (Member). He has been awarded 13 times by different organizations i.e. Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award and Bharat Ratna Dr. C. Subramaniam Award for Outstanding Teacher by the ICAR, New Delhi. He was awarded Fellowship of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences), Dr. B. Bhattacharya Award and Recognition Award of NAAS have been conferred by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi. Three authorities in India (CLFMA, Animal Nutrition Association, and Indian Society for Buffalo Development) have conferred Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Animal Science. Her group's primary research interest is towards understanding the miRNA networks involved in regulating plant development in response to virus infection and abiotic stress. These studies have also been useful in understanding the molecular mechanism of host virus interactions. They have also demonstrated the use of a plant miRNA to enhance the yield of rice.

He has published 58 research papers and guided more than 30 Master students for their dissertation. He is also working on academic-industry collaboration and consultancy. He is also a reviewer for several international journals published by Elsevier, Bentham Science and Royal Society of Chemistry.

Dr. Irfan Bhat worked as an Assistant Professor in Fish Breeding and Genetics, College of Fisheries Sciences, Gumla, Jharkhand, India for three years. He was awarded a fellowship for postdoctoral research by the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBITAK) under European Commission Horizon 2020 Marie Sk³odowska-Curie Actions Cofund program Co-Funded Brain Circulation2 Scheme (CoCirculation2).
