Pijush Samui is working as an associate professor in the civil engineering department at NIT Patna, India. He graduated in 2000, with a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. He received his M.Sc. in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India (2004). He holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering (2008) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He was a postdoctoral fellow at University of Pittsburgh (USA) (2008-2009) and Tampere University of Technology (Finland) (2009- 2010). In 2010, Dr. Pijush joined the Center for Disaster Mitigation and Management at VIT University as an Associate Professor. He was promoted to full Professor in 2012. Dr. Pijush is the recipient of the prestigious CIMO fellowship (2009) from Finland, for his integrated research on the design of railway embankment. He was awarded Shamsher Prakash Research Award (2011) by IIT Roorkee for his innovative research on the application of Artificial Intelligence in designing civil engineering structures. He was selected as the recipient of IGS Sardar Resham Singh Memorial Award – 2013 for his innovative research on infrastructure project. He was elected Fellow of the International Congress of Disaster Management in 2010. He served as a guest in disaster advance journal. He also serves as an editorial board member in several international journals. He has been selected as an adjunct professor at Ton Duc Thang University (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam). He has been visiting professor at Far East Federal University (Russia).
Dr. Thippa Reddy Gadekallu is currently working as Associate Professor in School of Information Technology and Engineering, VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained his B.Tech. in CSE from Nagarjuna University, India, M.Tech. in CSE from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and completed his Ph.D in VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. He has more than 14 years of experience in teaching. He has published more than 100 international/national publications. Currently, his areas of research include Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Deep Neural Networks, Blockchain, Computer Vision.
Dr. Nadhir Abbas Al-Ansari received his Ph.D. from Dundee University in 1976. Currently, he is serving as a Professor in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, Lulea University of Technology, Sweden, as well as a Professor in the Department of Environmental management, The Arab Open Academy in Denmark. His principal research interests are in water resources and environment. He has published more than 800 papers in scientific journals and International conferences as well as 12 books in these fields.
Dr. Mohd Dilshad Ansari is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at CMR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, India. He received his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan, HP, India in 2011 and 2018, respectively. He has more than 10 years of Academic/Research Experience; and has published more than 70 papers in the International Journals (SCIE/Scopus) and conferences (IEEE/Springer). His research interests include Digital & Fuzzy Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, IoT and Cloud Computing.
Hossein Bonakdari, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a faculty member of the department of Soil and Agri-Food Engineering at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. With a decade of research and teaching reputation, he has achieved extensive experience to highlight new insight for creating comprehensive methodologies in the fields of fundamental and applied sciences through the decision-making abilities of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. Results obtained from his research have been published in more than 250 published papers in international journals. His h-index=42 with more than 5000 citations. Recently, he was ranked in the world 39 top scientists in various fields.
Prof. P K Joshi is a Professor at the School of Environmental Sciences (SES), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India has immensely contributed in understanding geosphere and biosphere interactions while using inputs from earth observation systems and geospatial technology. He has addressed some of the pressing questions related to climate change while integrating dataset from a variety of land use land cover, and glacier, precipitation and temperature regimes. His research work also contributes to disaster risk reduction while assessing the impact and vulnerability of climate change. He is a recipient of Indian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences India - Young Scientist Medals, and National Remote Sensing Award of ISRS/ISRO. He is a Fellow of Indian Academy of Environmental Sciences (FIAES), Fellow of Indian Geophysical Union (FIGU) and Fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS).
Dr. Manoj Khandelwal is the Program Coordinator of mining engineering at Federation University and is an Australian Endeavour Fellow. Dr. Khandelwal has completed his bachelor's degree in mining engineering from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, India, master's in rock mechanics from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi and PhD in rock engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Before joining Federation University Australia, He worked as an Assistant Professor of mining engineering at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology. He was also a postdoctoral researcher at Monash University. He has more than fifteen years of research and academic teaching experience in Australia and India. Dr. Khandelwal has been recognized as a leading expert in 'Mining Geomechanics' and 'Rock Blasting'. So far, he has published more than 140 research papers in different reputed journals and conference proceedings. His total citations are more than 4500 and his current h index is 38. He is also the author of a technical book. He has successfully completed several research and consultancy research projects in his area of interest. He has been awarded a number of prestigious awards, such as the Young Scientist Award received from the President of India during the 93rd Indian Science Congress, the Young Engineers Award by Institution of Engineers' India, Dr. Khandelwal is a member of the editorial board of several international journals published from various continents and a reviewer of more than 100 international journals.
Dr. Dookie Kim is a licensed professional engineer both in Korea and in the United States. He received his Bachelor degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Korea University in 1993, and he earned his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1995 and 1999, respectively. He spent almost three and half years from 1999 - 2003 as a post-doctoral researcher at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), University of California, Irvine (UCI), and University of California, Berkeley, and as a senior researcher at UNISON Co. Ltd. Since March 2003, Dr. Kim has been teaching, researching, and consulting in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Kunsan National University. He has published several books and more than 100 international journal papers. His research interests are: a) structural dynamics such as vibration control, seismic design, and system identification, b) artificial intelligence such as neural network, support vector machine, and c) probability engineering such as reliability design, LCC analysis, etc.
Since 2019, Dr. Anurag Malik is serving at Punjab Agricultural University as a Scientist (Agril. Engg.). He received his Bachelor’s degree (Agril. Engg.) from Aligarh College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh in 2011, and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand during 2014 and 2019, respectively. His research fields are modeling hydrological variables using artificial intelligence techniques, trend analysis, watershed prioritization, groundwater quality analysis, drip irrigation system, and crop modeling. He has published more than 74 publications in national and international journals of repute and 6 book chapters. He is also serving as a reviewer for more than 39 international journals. Dr. Malik is also a recipient of the Young Scientist Award for outstanding contribution in the field of Agricultural Engineering by the Agricultural Technology Development Society (ATDS) in 2021.
Sharnil Pandya (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Maharashtra, India, and a Research Faculty with the Symbiosis Centre for Applied AI (SCAAI), Maharashtra. He has also worked on two national-level funded projects: Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), New Delhi, India, and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi. He has published more than 50 international publications in reputed journals and published six patents. Furthermore, he has also served as a reviewer for reputed journals such as the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, the IEEE INTERNET OF THINGS, IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL, IEEE JOURNAL OF BIOMEDICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATICS. His research interests include healthcare informatics, smart sensing, acoustics and sound.
Dr. Binh Thai Pham is a researcher, lecturer, Head of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Vice Head of Science, Technology and International Corporation Department at the University of Transport Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam. He has also been appointed as a special assistant professor at Hiroshima University, Japan (2019 up to now). He received a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from the Gujarat Technological University, Gujarat, India. His research focuses on natural hazard modelling and assessment, machine learning, artificial intelligence, geographic information system, remote sensing, geotechnical engineering problems, and construction materials. Dr. Binh Thai Pham has published more than 150 scientific publications mainly on peer-reviewed international journals indexed SCI, SCIE, SCOPUS. Out of these, 02 papers were classified on top 0.1% of papers having the highest number of citations (hot papers), and 40 papers were classified on top 1% of papers having the highest number of citations (highly cited papers). He is also a scientific reviewer of more than 50 ISI journals. He is one of the Editors who edited a book entitled: "Big Data Analysis for Green Computing" published in CRC Press. He is also a member of Vietnam society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, and Editorial board member of several journals like Vietnam Journal of Earth Sciences.
Dr. Rajiv Singh is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Banasthali Vidyapith, India. He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience in the field of computer vision and image processing. He has received PhD in Computer Science from University of Allahabad, India. He has published more than 40 articles in indexed journals (SCI/SCIE) and conference proceedings. He is Senior Member of IEEE, Life Member of Computer Society of India and professional member of ACM. He has served as a designated reviewer for a few journals of repute including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Computational Imaging, Information Fusion, Journal of the Franklin Institute, The Visual Computer etc. He has served as a Member of Technical Program Committee for many conferences and was Publication Chair in the IEEE IAC3T 2018, technically sponsored by IEEE.
Manik Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Applications, DAV University Jalandhar. He is MCA, UGC-NET qualified and has received his PhD degree in "Distributed Query Optimization" from IKG Punjab Technical University, Kaputhala, India. Dr. Sharma has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. His research interests include Machine Learning, Optimization Techniques, Health Informatics and Smart Systems. The thrust area is to design a smart and innovative Decision Support System for the effective diagnosis and management of different behavioral and mental disorders. Dr. Sharma authored/co authored over 40 International Journal articles, Conference Proceedings, and Book Chapters. He is an Editor-in-Chief of EAI Endorsed Transaction on Pervasive Health and Technology (Scopus Indexed) and Co-Editor- in-Chief of EAI Endorsed Transaction on Scalable Information System (ESCI indexed). Additionally, he is a part of the editorial board of several reputed international journals including Soft Computing (Springer), Cluster Computing (Springer), and IEEE Access. Moreover, he has been on program committees of over 100 international conferences as a member of International Program Committees, Technical Program Committees, and Advisory Committees of several academic conferences (United Kingdom, Singapore, Mauritius, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Hong Kong, Canada, UAE, and India).
Dr. Amit Kumar Verma is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Mining Engineering at Prestious Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. He obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay and worked at several renowned institutes across globe like Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, 3S Laboratory, Grenoble, France and University of California Davis, USA. He was a visiting faculty at Clausthal University of Technology, Germany and Endevour Executive Fellow at Monash University, Australia. He is a recipient of prestigious awards like Institute of Engineers Young Engineers Award 2014- 15, Inspire Faculty Fellowship – 2012 by DST and INSA, Endevour Executive Fellowship by Australian Government and Dr. K.S. Krishnan Research Associateship-24 in 2012 by Board of Research on Nuclear Sciences. Dr. Verma has published more than 70 papers in the field of Mining Engineering. He is a member of the reviewer board of several SCI journals.
Dr. Wengang Zhang is currently a full professor in the School of Civil Engineering, Chongqing University, China. His research interests focus on impact assessment on the built environment induced by underground construction, as well as big data and machine learning in geotechnics and geoengineering. He serves as Associate Editor for Geoscience Frontiers, and editorial board member for Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and Georisk. He is now a member of the ISSMGE TC304 (Reliability), TC309 (Machine Learning) and TC219 (System Performance of Geotechnical Structures). He has been selected as the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2020.
Dr Jhilik Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. Her research interests include image processing, enhancement & feature extraction in images, image visualization, computer vision, pattern recognition & image understanding, and deep learning techniques for image processing and scene understanding. She has more than 13 years of experience in designing and implementing predictive algorithms to solve complex problems in the areas of image processing, computer vision, neural computing and electric vehicles. She led more than 7 industry/government funded projects across India, Italy and Ireland and has published +50 articles in peer reviewed journals and conferences.
Dr. Nurcihan Ceryan is an Associate Professor in the Balıkesir Vocational School, Balıkesir University. His research interests include rock mechanics, engineering geology, slope stability and soft computing methods. He has published around 60 articles in reputed international journals (with SCI impact factors), and conferences. Dr. Ceryan also has edited 1 book with a reputed international publisher.
Dr. Kuntal Ghosh is an Associate Professor at the Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), former In-charge at the Center for Soft Computing Research, an Associate Institute of ISI, and Head of the Theoretical and Applied Sciences Unit, ISI North-east Center. He did his PhD (Science) from Jadavpur University and Post-MSc diploma (Biophysical Sciences) from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, MSc and BSc in Physics from Presidency College, Calcutta University and schooling at South Point School, Kolkata. His research interests are in Cognitive Science, Cybernetics, Neuroscience, Biophysics, Data Science, Signal & Image Processing, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and the history and philosophy of science. He has more than 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals, edited books, and conference proceedings.
M.S.P. Subathra received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the M.E. degree in Power Systems from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai Kamaraj University, India, in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Karunya University, India in 2015. She is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Robotics Engineering, Karunya University. She has publications in reputed international journals and in a number of conference proceedings. She has more than 25 years of experience in implementing predictive algorithms to solve problems in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Signal, and image processing. Optimization techniques, Machine learning, and deep learning are applied to biomedical signal processing, Power Systems, and Renewable Energy. She has published more than 52 research papers in different SCI/SCIE/Scopus international journals and 02 National Patents. She also received funded projects worth more than 50 lakhs from DST and ICMR. She is also a member of various academic societies, such as Life Member Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Dutta is presently working as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, and Himachal Pradesh, India. He has completed his doctoral study from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and published 171 papers in various international and national journals of repute. His research interest includes environmental geotechnics, rock mechanics, application of soft computing techniques in civil engineering and ground improvement
Karan Veer has done his B.Tech and M.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, India in the year of 2005 and 2008, respectively. He received PhD in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala (India) in the year of 2015. He was a recipient of a Postdoctoral Fellowship (Dr. D S Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship) instituted by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Govt. of India in the year of 2016 and carried out his research work at Panjab University, Chandigarh; and recipient of Research Associateship (RA) instituted by ICMR of Govt. of India in 2018. At present, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, India. His current areas of research include Biomedical Instrumentation, signal processing, statistical applications, prosthetic devices and soft computing.
Dr Shikha Agrawal is Director, Centre for University Placement, Training & Corporate Affairs, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University Institute of Technology, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (M P) India. She obtained B.E., M.Tech. and Ph.D in Computer Science & Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal. She completed her Summer Research Fellowship from IIT Delhi. She has more than Eighteen years of teaching experience. She guided more than 50 Post Graduates and 5 PhD scholars. Her area of interest is Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, Computational Intelligence and Particle Swarm Optimization. She has published more than 50 research papers in different SCI/SCIE/Scopus/UGC approved reputed international journals and 01 international & 03 national patents. She authored one book on “Advanced Database Management System” and 12 chapters with international publishers. She is heading research projects of more than 14 lakhs from various government organizations. She has received a number of awards. She had also participated in numerous (more than 40) conference presentations. She is also a member of various academic societies, such as Senior Member IEEE, Life Member Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Life Member Indian Society of Institute of Researchers, Life Member Computer Society of India (CSI), IACSIT, ACM etc.
Dr Sanjiban Sekhar Roy is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology. His research interests include deep learning and advanced machine learning. He has published around 51 articles in reputed international journals (with SCI impact factors), conferences and editorial board members to a handful of international journals and reviewer to many highly reputed journals. Dr. Roy also has edited around 7 books with reputed international publishers. Besides, the Ministry of National Education, Romania & "Aurel Vlaicu" University, Romania has awarded Dr. Roy with "Diploma of Excellence" for the scientific research activity in 2019.
P.M. Durai Raj Vincent, received his B.E. and M.E. from Anna University, Chennai, India. He also received his Ph.D., from VIT University Vellore in 2015. He is presently working as an Associate Professor in the School of Information Technology and Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience and 7 years post Ph.D. He has more than 85 publications in the peer-reviewed Scopus indexed journals and among that 36 publications are SCI indexed with impact factor. His average impact factor per publication is 3.08. His current h-index in Scopus database is 12. He has published 5 Indian patents. He is currently guiding five research scholars in the field of Machine Learning and Deep Learning and three Ph.D scholars already completed under his guidance.
