Nanomaterials

The Nanomaterials section publishes research articles, letters, reviews/mini-reviews reporting high-quality, cutting-edge developments across the nanomaterials community.

The Nanomaterials section of the journal Current Indian Science publishes full-length scientific literature, review/mini-reviews, letters, innovative high-quality research articles and thematic issues on fundamental and implemented research on nanomaterials. The Nanomaterials section publishes research articles, letters, reviews/mini-reviews reporting high-quality, cutting-edge developments across the nanomaterials community. The aim of the journal is to incorporate highly eminent studies from researchers, scientists and engineers under one roof integrating extensive scientific international readership. The scope of this section encompasses the experimental method, configuration, properties, characterization, and application in emerging fields of advanced nanomaterials and nanosystems.

Original research articles published in the journal must demonstrate new nanomaterials discoveries and/or methodological advances that represent a significant advancement in previously published work. Articles may be focused largely, but not exclusively, on contributors from around the world.

The journal places equal focus on publications from a wide range of sub-fields in the area. Works published in the journal feature a balanced mix of fundamental and experimental original research. Submissions in the following areas are of special interest to the readers of this journal:

Dr. Pradip Sarawade is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Mumbai. He is a recognized Ph.D. guide in the Department of Physics, Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology and Department of Chemistry since 2015. He has supervised 3 Ph.D. and 4 M. Phil. students and more than 40 MSc, project students. Currently, 3 Ph.D. and 1 M. Phil. Students are pursuing their research work under his guidance. He received the Gold Medal for best doctoral thesis from Hanyang University, South Korea. He developed a convenient synthetic protocol for the millimeter and micrometer sized hydrophobic & hydrophilic nanoporous Silica Aerogel beads with 3D nanostructures under ambient conditions during his postdoctoral research at Hanyang University.He has published more than 65 articles with total impact factor of more than 350, h-index 26 and more than 1800 citations; in high-impact journals such as Chemistry of Materials, ChemSusChem, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, and Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Material Chemistry –A etc. Including a book on silica aerogels.

She has guided 18 PhDs, and 180 masters’ students. She is also the Director of RELIANCE Industries, Vice-President of GUFIC, Officer-in-charge of ICRISAT, Principal of SICES College, and Lecturer at the Poona University. She is the editor of 4 Journals. She has been a Consultant at United Nations Asia-Pacific, SAARC, Biotech Consortium India Ltd, MNRE India. His current research mainly focuses on the acceleration of wound healing in diabetic foot ulcers using advanced nanomaterials. Also, he served as an editorial board member and reviewer in several international journals.
