Abstract

Introduction: Sickle cell anemia is a autosomal recessive genetic disease, which includes microvascular occlusions and infections.

Case: We present the case of epidural and orbital hemorrhage accompanying bone infarction with orbital compression syndrome in sickle cell anemia.

Discussion: In patients with sickle cell anemia, bone infarctions and epidural hemorrhages should be investigated in the presence of complaints of headache and orbital compression syndrome. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography can be used for diagnosis.

Keywords: Sickle cell anemia, orbital compression syndrome, epidural hemorrhage, MRI, patients, genetic disease.
