Abstract
Porphyrin is a kind of versatile chemically sensitive materials for application in chemical sensors. Recently, a variety of porphyrinic polymer membranes have been developed as gas sensors. Most of them are based on the photoluminescent or photoexcited state quenching of porphyrin dyes. Many porphyrinic gas sensors are composed of porphyrin or its derivatives immobilized on gas permeable polymer membranes. In this review, we present the state-of-art of various porphyrinic polymers for optical gas sensors, including those for oxygen (O2), hydrogen chloride (HCl), nitric oxide (NO) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Keywords: Porphyrinic polymer, gas sensing, oxygen, hydrogen chloride, nitric oxide, carbon dioxide.

Catalytic C-H bond activation as a tool for functionalization of heterocycles
The major topic is the functionalization of heterocycles through catalyzed C-H bond activation. The strategies based on C-H activation not only provide straightforward formation of C-C or C-X bonds but, more importantly, allow for the avoidance of pre-functionalization of one or two of the cross-coupling partners. The beneficial impact of ...read more
