Abstract
Extremely good enantioseparation of a kind of commonly used β-blockers, (±)-propranolol, has been achieved on silica gel layers which were impregnated with β-cyclodextrin and oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Solvent system tert-butenol-acetonitrile (1:1, v/v) successfully resolved the enantiomers of (±)-propranolol. The spots were detected at 254 nm with a UV lamp. The effect of concentration of the mobile phase variation was also studied.
