Abstract
A large library of oxazine derivatives is obtained by Betti’s reaction between activated phenols, amines and aryl aldehyde. The present paper deals with the multi component microwave assisted an efficient and expeditious reaction between 7-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin as an activated phenolic moiety, substituted benzaldehyde and primary aromatic amines. All the Betti’s bases were synthesized by using green chemical approach. The proposed structures of the oxazine derivatives were characterized and confirmed by using spectral analyses viz., 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, IR and mass spectra; and also tested for their antibacterial activity.
