Abstract
Discovery of novel antimicrobial agents effective against infections caused by drug-resistant pathogens is an important objective in drug research field. In order to find new structural classes of antibiotics, a series of novel thioetherlinked carbapenem-oxazolidinone hybrids were synthesized. The structures of the hybrids and intermediates were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR, MS and elemental analysis.
