摘要
在发现诸如“抗生素和抗寄生虫药”之类的药物之前,由致病细菌和寄生虫引起的传染病仍然是发展中国家和欠发达国家中发病率和死亡率的主要原因之一。生物体对两种或更多种与结构无关的药物产生抗药性的现象称为多药抗药性(MDR),其出现使感染性疾病的治疗情况更加复杂。对可用治疗方案的抵制和新药开发渠道不畅,使情况令人担忧。后基因组时代的普遍目标是为由这种病原体引起的各种威胁生命的疾病确定新的靶标/药物。这篇综述是在两种主要病原体即“铜绿假单胞菌”和“恶性疟原虫”的耐药性背景下概念化的。在这篇综述中,已经详细讨论了这些病原体的可用靶标和抗药性的关键机制。还尝试分析细菌和疟疾寄生虫的常见药物靶标,以克服当前的耐药性情况。还根据当前的药物渠道和科学界的努力来提出解决方案。
