SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals
Partnerships are the foundation for making sustainable development possible
Interconnected systems need to take account of different regional and local contexts and the need for equitable solutions. That’s why SDG 17 is a focus for Springer Nature; working in partnership with others to accelerate delivery of the goals by connecting researchers, policymakers and practitioners through targeted events and via new content formats. SDG 17 seeks to improve international cooperation, infrastructure and equity. We are signatories and participants of collaborative networks including
- SDG Publishers Compact, a collaboration between the UN and the International Publishers Association
- Valuable500, which strives to improve disability inclusion
- The Climate Pledge to achieve net zero by 2040
- Research4Life, making research available in low income countries, provide free access to training and resources to enable researchers in under-represented regions to develop research capabilities, and we offer APC waivers to remove financial barriers to publishing in open access journals.
