Abstract
A series of new ester-substituted alkoxysilanes has been prepared. These bifunctional silanes were gently synthesized via hydrosilylation of carbon-carbon double bond of commercially available unsaturated esters in the presence of Karstedt’s catalyst. All products were isolated and fully characterized by NMR and IR spectroscopy. The synthesized derivatives can be further applied to obtain the siloxane network on the silica surface.
