背景:棘阿米巴角膜炎最早于1970年代初发现,至今仍是主要的眼部感染,对公众健康构成了重大威胁,尤其是在发展中国家。目的是以一种可理解的方式及时地回顾我们对当前在该领域取得的进展的理解,其中包括新颖的概念,并为当下的研究重点提供了明确的方向。 方法:我们对书目数据库进行了搜索,以查找经过同行评审的研究文献,并总结了我们在该领域的已发表结果。 结果:本综述着重于新的诊断和治疗策略的细节,可以提供管理和治疗棘阿米巴角膜炎的途径。这与最近可获得的基因组序列信息以及高通量基因组学技术和创新方法相结合,应引起人们对合理设计预防和治疗措施的兴趣。当前的棘阿米巴角膜炎治疗存在问题,并经常导致感染复发。对诊断,发病机制,病理生理学和治疗方案的更好理解将导致治疗和预防方面的新策略。
