Abstract
Organoselenium derivatives are recently attracting the interest of a number of research groups in relation to the wide range of Pharmacological properties that are currently under investigation. This generated a considerable proliferation of studies that in the last four years investigated several biological relevant effects for a number of different class of organoselenium compounds. The state of the art on the GPx-like derivatives will be here reported updating the review article published by Santi et al. in 2013 that cover the literature until early 2012. In addition, other biological activities not covered by that review will be reported focusing the interest on the most recent developments.
