Abstract
After obtaining his Ph.D. at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, in 1991 George Harrigan pursued post-doctoral research in natural products at successively, Virginia Tech, the University of Iowa and the University of Hawaii. Since 1998 he has been a senior research scientist in the high-throughput screening group at Pfizer (legacy Pharmacia) where he currently heads a group of analytical chemists. His research interests focus on metabolic profiling and natural products chemistry. He is co-editor of “Metabolic Profiling: Its Role in Biomarker Discovery and Gene Function Analysis” (Eds.
