Abstract
Electrophilic amination constitutes a unique strategy for the synthesis of C – N bonds. One often-overlooked example of this type of process involves the reaction of organometallic nucleophiles with electrophilic nitrogen sources to yield aryl and alkyl amine derivatives. Such transformations are mechanistically intriguing and have the potential to drastically alter the logic by which nitrogencontaining compounds are synthesized.
