Abstract
Chemical insights into artemisinins biological mechanism of action have allowed rational design of some new trioxane and endoperoxide antimalarial drug candidates that are efficacious and safe. This review summarizes recent achievements in this area of peroxide drug development for malaria chemotherapy.
