Abstract

The elastic properties and viscoelastic properties play a significant role in the transferring progress of cancer cells, of which the viscoelastic properties can be measured by the stress relaxation phenomenon. In this paper, using the expansion of atomic force microscope (AFM) indentation and the improvement of Hertz model, the AFM indentation experiment is carried out on two different transferring characteristic cancer cells (Anip-973 and AGZY-83a) under physiological conditions, whereas the stress-relaxation model is obtained by using Hertz contact function. The results are nonlinear-fitted and the variance will be analyzed. In conclusion, there are significant differences of viscoelastic properties between Anip-973 and AGZY-83a, the reason for said different transferring characteristics between cancer cells is explained in the mechanical point of view.
