合法营养在预防疾病方面发挥着重要作用，因此，营养干预在公共卫生领域确立了重要战略。营养基因组学关注个体的不同基因和饮食，以及个体基因如何影响对生物活性食品的反应。它的目标是考虑与营养物质的遗传和表观遗传相互作用，以导致表型改变，从而导致新陈代谢、分化甚至细胞凋亡。营养基因组学和生活方式因素在健康管理中发挥着至关重要的作用，并代表着为有患癌症等疾病风险的个体改善个性化饮食的非凡前景。关于癌症作为一种多因素遗传疾病，需要研究和分析几个方面。关于乳腺癌和结肠癌的发展和预后，应从各种角度进行研究和检查。预计恶性生长事件将在即将到来的日子里激增，因此需要有效的预期策略。饮食成分的影响，主要由营养基因组学研究，着眼于基因表达和分子机制。由于不同的“组学”创新，它还使生物活性化合物和营养素相互关联。几项临床前研究证明了营养基因组学在乳腺癌和结肠癌中的相关作用，并且可以想象，改变饮食习惯是降低癌症风险的成功方法。由于乳腺癌或结肠癌患者的基因组特征与其补充剂摄入量之间的联系，可以想象个性化医疗的想法，包括营养和医疗服务。
