在科学,技术和临床领域,现代牙科的发展正以惊人的速度加速。实际的例子是数字领域的进步,它保证了所有患者的平均修复水平,以及其他科学发展,包括干细胞生物学研究。鉴于其可塑性,干细胞被定义为分化成特定细胞谱系的能力,具有几乎无限的自我更新和释放营养/免疫调节因子的能力,在过去的15年中,干细胞获得了重大的科学和商业兴趣。可以从口腔各种组织中分离出来的干细胞已成为骨骼和牙齿再生的诱人来源,这主要是由于它们易于获取。这篇综述将介绍对使用干细胞治疗骨骼和牙齿缺失缺陷的新兴概念和技术问题的最新理解。特别是,我们将专注于干细胞的临床应用,这些干细胞既可以直接从口腔来源分离,也可以从体细胞(诱导多能干细胞)体外重编程。旨在进一步揭示干细胞可塑性的研究将允许确定最佳的干细胞来源和特性,以开发牙科领域的新型再生工具。
